Entry requirements
Who the course is for
This is the progression route for those students who have completed Entry Level childcare. This qualification is suitable for you if you are considering a career in caring for children. It can also support you with re-engaging with learning and break down barriers to you entering the childcare workforce.
What the interview will involve

You will be sent a career plan prior to your interview date to complete and bring along with you on the day. The interview is a two-way process which will give you the opportunity to discuss the course and suitability with the subject tutor.

What you will learn
This qualification encourages an understanding of the knowledge and the skills needed to care for young children. They cover children’s growth, learning and development. There are also units to help with self-development.

The course will involve practical craft lessons, theory lessons, Elearing and Tutorials

Fees

Our level 2 courses are free *(if you are 19-24 years old you must have a full level 2 qualification already to be eligible for free funding. More eligibility criteria apply). Contact us if you need more information on funding.

Failure to complete the course will incur an admin cost.

Level 1 Diploma in Caring for Children
Alternatively, email info@iwcollege.ac.uk with the subject title of your chosen course, followed by ‘info’ to receive further information. i.e. ‘Science T Level info’.
