Our Public Services students recently had the exciting opportunity to welcome the Army Outreach Team for an informative and interactive session designed to provide a deeper understanding of life in the British Army.
The visit gave learners a valuable insight into the wide range of roles, responsibilities and career opportunities available within the Army. Through engaging discussions and real-world examples, students learned about the skills, discipline and teamwork required to succeed in military service, as well as the personal and professional development opportunities that come with an Army career.
One of the highlights of the session was the opportunity for students to take part in hands-on activities that brought their learning to life. Learners were able to explore specialist equipment and gain a better understanding of some of the unique challenges faced by Army personnel in the field.
A particularly memorable moment was the chance to try on a bomb disposal suit, giving students a fascinating glimpse into the specialist roles that exist within the Army. The experience sparked plenty of curiosity and discussion, with students eager to learn more about the training and expertise required for such demanding positions.
The session provided an excellent opportunity for our Public Services learners to broaden their knowledge of the sector, ask questions and gain first-hand insight from experienced professionals. Experiences like these help students connect classroom learning with real-world career pathways and develop a greater understanding of the organisations that support and protect our communities.
