The Isle of Wight College is celebrating another successful year of T Level results, with students achieving excellent outcomes and progressing to university, apprenticeships and employment.

Since introducing T Levels in 2022, the College has seen growing numbers of students choosing the qualifications, which combine classroom learning with industry placements. Equivalent to three A Levels, T Levels are designed in partnership with employers to prepare students for higher education and the workplace.

Students achieved strong results across a range of subjects including Health, Media, Engineering, Business Management and Administration, Early Years and Education, Digital, Animal Care and Management, and Marketing.

Among those celebrating was Ben, who achieved a Merit in Management and Administration and a Distinction in his Occupational Specialism in Team Leadership and Management. He praised the support of his teachers throughout the course and is now pursuing a career as a firefighter.

Grace achieved a Distinction in Health and Social Care and will study Paramedic Science at the University of Portsmouth, while Millie and Mollie both earned Distinctions in Early Years and Education and are progressing to university courses in Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy respectively.

Shakeena achieved a Merit in Early Years and Education, describing herself as "really chuffed" with her result, while Kaitlin has secured full-time employment at her childcare placement setting after completing her course.

Principal and CEO Fidelma Washington praised students for their achievements:

"The results are a testament to the ambition, determination and professionalism of our students. They have embraced the challenges of combining academic learning with meaningful industry experience, developing the skills that employers and universities are looking for."

She also thanked College staff and employer partners for their support in helping students achieve success and take their next steps with confidence.
