Our BTEC Level 3 Graphic Design students have once again demonstrated their creativity, professionalism and industry-ready skills through an exciting live client project with the Isle of Wight Gin Company.

Following the success of their previous collaboration with Wildheart Animal Sanctuary on the Benji and Balu Vodka project, students were presented with a new and ambitious design challenge. This time, they were tasked with creating a series of eye-catching bus advertisements to promote the Isle of Wight Gin Company's range of premium gin and rum products, all expertly blended here on the Island.

The brief required students to design 26 full-scale bus advertisements that would be displayed across key locations throughout the Isle of Wight. Working to a real commercial specification, students had to carefully consider branding, audience engagement and visual impact to produce designs that would stand out in a busy public environment.

Both Year 1 and Year 2 Graphic Design students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, applying the skills and knowledge they have developed throughout their course. The result was an impressive collection of high-quality designs that not only met the client's expectations but exceeded them.

The Isle of Wight Gin Company was so impressed by the students' work that all 26 designs were selected for use in the campaign. This outstanding achievement is a testament to the talent, dedication and creativity demonstrated by every student involved in the project.

Three of the designs are already making their way around the Island on local buses, providing students with the unique opportunity to see their work showcased in a highly visible public setting. Many more designs are scheduled to be rolled out during the autumn months, meaning residents and visitors alike will soon be able to enjoy the students' creative work as they travel across the Island.

Projects like this play a vital role in preparing students for careers within the creative industries. By working with real clients and responding to live briefs, students gain invaluable experience of professional design processes, client expectations and commercial standards. These opportunities help build confidence, strengthen portfolios and provide a realistic insight into life as a working designer.

The collaboration has not only delivered a successful marketing campaign for the Isle of Wight Gin Company but has also highlighted the exceptional ability, innovation and professionalism of our Graphic Design students.

We would like to thank the Isle of Wight Gin Company for providing such a fantastic opportunity and for recognising the hard work and talent of our students.

Congratulations to everyone involved. Seeing your designs displayed across the Island is a remarkable achievement and a well-deserved reflection of your creativity, dedication and future potential in the design industry.
