The objective of undertaking maintenance:

To cost effectively match equipment availability, reliability and efficiency to the business need. As Engineers we all tend to focus on repair programmes and continuous improvement to minimise downtime of equipment. However, this course will encourage students to go beyond minor improvements by focusing on the whole subject of Failure Modes and Defect Elimination.
