ACS Gas, reassessment only for CCN1, additional elements available upon request including: CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1. Please note that extra elements will be at an additional cost.

- CCN1/CPA1: This is the core gas safety element required for working on domestic gas appliances and installations. It is a legal requirement as an engineer for membership with the Gas Safe Register.
- CENWAT: The Central Heating and Hot Water module covers assessment on both open and balanced flue systems (natural draught and fan-assisted).
- HTR1: This safety assessment evaluates your competence in working with a range of wall heaters and gas fires, including convector heaters and flueless gas fires.
- CKR1: This element covers the installation, commissioning, exchange, disconnection, servicing, and repair of domestic gas cooking appliances. It also includes the identification of unsafe conditions and diagnosing gas safety faults.
For the initial ACS assessments, candidates must satisfy the entry requirements defined by the Assessment Scheme Rules (Category 1/ Category 2 (new entrant with transferable skills)/new entrant with no transferable skills or experience).

Reassessment Eligibility
To qualify for this streamlined reassessment, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- You must have previously held the specific assessment element.
- Previous certificates must be presented to the centre as evidence.
- If your previous element has been expired for more than 12 months, you will be required to take the initial assessment instead.
Candidates wishing to take re-assessment must have held the assessment element previously – if this element has expired by more than 12 months of the assessment date, it will be necessary to take the initial assessment.
Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.
On successful completion, BPEC Certification Ltd will upload the assessment results to Gas Safe Register.
ACS certificates are normally valid for 5 years. On expiry, candidates are eligible to take re-assessment. The re-assessment can be taken up to 6 months prior to the expiry date of the initial qualification without losing out (MOT style). Previous certificates must be presented to the assessment centre as evidence of holding the initial qualification.
