Engineering Assessor

Salary: AP06 Up to £28,228 per annum (£21,169 - £22,887 pro-rata)

Hours: 30 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Assessor to join our Apprenticeship Team and support learners across a range of Engineering apprenticeship standards.

Working closely with employers across the Isle of Wight, you will manage a caseload of apprentices and work-based learners, providing assessment, support and progress monitoring to ensure successful achievement of apprenticeship standards and qualifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional looking to use their industry expertise to develop the next generation of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Engineering apprentices and Allied Trades learners.

Conduct workplace assessments and progress reviews.

Assess learner competence against apprenticeship standards and qualifications.

Provide timely feedback and guidance through Smart Assessor.

Support apprentices in building evidence portfolios and preparing for End Point Assessment.

Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.

Build and maintain positive relationships with employers across the Island.

Ensure learners remain on track to achieve.

Applicants should have current or recent occupational experience within engineering and manufacturing environments and be able to demonstrate competence in one or more of the following areas:

Engineering Fitting

Machining and CNC Operations

Engineering Maintenance

Manufacturing Engineering
