Art & Design Teacher – Inspire, Create, Transform

Hours: Sessional

Contract Type: Term Time Only - 36 weeks per year

Are you more Van Gogh than spreadsheet? More Bauhaus than boardroom?

At The Isle of Wight College, we believe education should be as bold and brilliant as the students we teach. We’re on the lookout for an Art & Design Teacher who’s ready to spark imaginations, challenge conventions, and help students turn ideas into impact.

This is your canvas. Let’s make something amazing.

What you’ll be doing

  • Teaching and inspiring students across a range of creative disciplines
  • Planning engaging, hands-on lessons that bring theory to life
  • Supporting learners to develop portfolios, confidence, and creative voice
  • Staying on top of trends, techniques, and the occasional glitter explosion
  • Collaborating with a team that values innovation, inclusion, and individuality

What you’ll bring

  • A passion for art, design, and creative education
  • Teaching experience (or the drive to dive in and learn fast)
  • A portfolio of ideas, projects, and maybe a few paint-splattered shoes
  • The ability to connect with students and help them find their spark
  • A sense of humour, a love of colour, and a knack for turning chaos into creativity
