Minimum of three GCSEs at grade 2/E or equivalent including English Language.
This qualification is designed for learners aged 16-18 who wish to develop skills and knowledge in the travel and tourism industry.
To be awarded the Level 1 Certificate in Travel and Tourism, learners are required to successfully complete 2 mandatory units and 4 optional units. This qualification consists of 2 graded mandatory units: Unit 01: Customer services in travel and tourism Unit 02: Communication skills in travel and tourism
There is a mixture of classroom learning, practical learning through role play and presentations or in real-life work placement settings. You will get to visit places on the Island and the Mainland as part of your learning, which will also support your independence. Online learning, using a variety of platforms will also be part of your weekly programme, in addition to regular one to one academic tutorials. Apart from GCSE, there will be no exams as part of your course.
