This course requires applicants to have four GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above including English.
Who the course is for
Anyone looking to develop a new or existing interest and skills in digital media content creation.
What you will learn

This course gives you the opportunity to explore and develop your creative skills within creative media production, through a series of practical projects and specialist workshops. It provides an opportunity to experience digital media content creation including video and audio production, digital editing for video and audio, digital photography and graphic design.

Alongside these practical digital skills, you will also develop your organisational, communication and research skills, and develop an understanding of the creative industries and how you can develop and progress in your chosen career path.

The course focuses on a wide range of practical digital media skills, including:

  • Short form video content creation
  • Audio Podcast production
  • Video and audio editing using the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Content creation for social media platforms
  • Presenting and pitching ideas for digital content
  • Digital photography and image manipulation
  • Graphic design for online content creation
How you will learn

You will work in our newly refurbished production studios with access to industry-standard, resources and software, with the opportunity to develop specialist skills to an advanced level.

  • TV Studio
  • Photography Studio
  • Graphic Design Suite
  • Digital Editing Suites
  • Broadcast quality cameras from Sony, Canon and Black Magic Design
Progression
This course specifically provides a pathway to Level 3 programmes in TV & Film, Photography or Graphic Design, as well as a providing a platform for apprenticeships and further training schemes.
