I would love to go to university, but living on the island and my own circumstances make it tricky

Great news! We have recently been granted university status. This means that we now offer a range of Level 5/6 (HNC / HND) courses through our partner, Portsmouth University. You will save money and time from not having to commute by studying at our Newport or East Cowes (engineering) campuses.

How about a higher level apprenticeship, where you could earn and work towards a degree.

I really don't enjoy my job and need to make a change

Not everyone enjoys their work every day, but some people REALLY don't enjoy their work. Unfortunately, we can't offer you your dream job... but we can equip you with the tools to get it. There are so many routes to improving your employability and if you have a specific vision then that's even better!

Steps to take:

Talk to our careers advisor. Bring your CV for her to check and any qualifications you have to date (such as GCSE or A Level results). If you don't have these, don't worry.

If you would like a bespoke course, please contact katie.anderson@iwcollege.ac.uk who will be able to discuss your requirements.

I am retired and would love to learn a new skill

If we have enough participation we can (in theory) run anything!

I enjoy my job, but would love a promotion
