We have a number of exciting opportunities for individuals to make a real difference to the learning experiences and life skills of our students.

We are looking to increase our pool of term-time only SLDD Learning Support Assistants. We have contracts available from 12 to 24 hours per week with the option of additional sessional hours when required.

Our PMLD/SLDD role assists learners with physical disabilities, providing social, emotional and behavioural support.  The provision of manual handling, hoist support and personal care is also an essential part of the PMLD/SLDD role.

If you possess the passion and commitment to motivate and enthuse your learners, helping them to develop their skills and independence, then we want to hear from you.

In return we can offer a competitive salary and generous benefits package including:

  • 41 days’ holiday per year including 30 days’ annual leave, 8 bank holidays and 3 ‘given’ days during the Christmas closure period.
  • Contributory local government pension
  • A vast array of training opportunities including access to an extensive suite of Level 2 distance learning qualifications to enhance your skills
  • In house support to achieve the occupation qualification for the post
  • A guaranteed monthly salary across 12 months
  • A range of other staff benefits, including onsite free gym, on site restaurant and hair & beauty salons, as well as discounted travel options on Red Funnel and Wightlink.

We are also committed to offering a range of family friendly working options and will look to offer working hours that fit around your commitments, in line with our student’s needs.
