Sessional Animal Technician – The Isle Of Wight College

Sessional Animal Technician, with weekend cover

£9.50 – £9.95 per hour

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Technician to provide a high standard of husbandry and welfare to our thriving collection of small mammals, reptiles and birds.        The role will involve some weekend hours, with cover every other weekend currently required. 

In addition, you may also have the opportunity to assist and support Lecturers with the preparation of classes on a cover basis.

What you can offer us:

• A Level 2 qualification in an animal related subject
• Level 2 qualifications in English Language and Maths
• Recent working knowledge of a range of disciplines within the animal industry
• Ability to ensure records are maintained and kept up to date
• Able to work unsupervised, to a high standard in a limited time frame
