Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to help enrich the education and training experiences of Island residents?
Here at the Isle of Wight College we have a new and exciting opportunity to co-ordinate and project manage the delivery of our international activity programme. The programme provides Isle of Wight College students with the opportunity for enrichment activities through visiting other countries for both cultural exchanges and work experience.
Our projects have been on hold during the pandemic and we are hopeful that in the coming academic year we will be able to start planning the delivery of existing projects funded by Erasmus. You will also help to co-ordinate future funding applications, including for the new Turing scheme and to the British Council. In addition, you will be responsible for managing incoming international visits (when government guidance permits). Where travel is not possible you will help co-ordinate alternative ‘virtual exchanges’ to help students gain the maximum benefit from engaging with other students and people from different countries.
Your role will also be part of a wider team responsible for developing employer and adult training activities. As part of this team you will contribute to co-ordinating the planning and delivery of training courses for Island residents and employers.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a highly effective project manager and administrator, with a strong attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience of working on the planning and delivery of international exchange programmes, or be able to demonstrate how your skills and experience are transferable to this role. You will often be managing multiple activities and you will need to be able to prioritise and manage your busy and varied workload and to be highly effective in communicating with a wide a range of people. Experience of budget monitoring and preparing project monitoring reports would also be beneficial.
Above all, you should be enthusiastic about promoting international exchange and developing links with both partners across the globe and employers here on the Island.
In return we can offer a competitive benefits package including:
The Isle of Wight College is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all members of the Community.
