Hydro-therapy Pool and Facilities Technician

£19,086 – £22,687 per annum  

An opportunity has arisen at the College for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Facilities Team on a permanent basis.

The primary function of this role is to support staff, students and external clients with the use of our hydro-therapy pool. The successful candidate will be required to provide routine daily maintenance to the pool and undertake lifeguard duties as required.

You will also support the wider Facilities team when the pool is not in use, carrying out a diverse range of duties including security, deliveries, general maintenance and repair, and opening/closing the College site as required.  The role will include lifting and carrying and shift work, therefore a flexible approach to working hours is required, including occasion evening work.

What you can offer us:

  • An appropriate lifeguard qualification
  • A level 2 qualification in plumbing/electrical/carpentry would be desirable
  • A first aid qualification, or willingness to work towards
  • Relevant experience working with young people and/or adults with learning and/or physical disabilities
  • The ability to undertake reasonable levels maintenance & repair work
