Up to £47,416 per annum
Salary consists of £31,374 – £37,452 plus market supplement of up to £9,964 dependent on qualifications and industry experience. Plus relocation allowance of up to 5% of salary.
The Isle of Wight College is looking for a highly skilled and innovative Curriculum Leader in Digital development and application.
Working directly to the Assistant Principal for Curriculum, you will collaborate with other curriculum leaders in developing a new and ultimately successful digital curriculum.
The Isle of Wight College is a big part of Island life and we are the only general further education provider. You will be responsible for building on existing and creating new partnerships with the digital and creative industries, ensuring our curriculum is enriched through their involvement and is able to meet their needs as employers. In particular, you will support the College’s contribution to developing and delivering a Digital Island Strategy for the Isle of Wight. You will also play an active role in the marketing and promotion of the Digital / Computing provision to both students and employers.
Within the College community you will drive forward the embedding of digital skills in all of our curriculum and support colleagues to adopt best practice in teaching, learning and assessment. The successful applicant will therefore be at the heart of guaranteeing outstanding achievement for students through leading on creative digital teaching strategies.
You should have a UK degree or equivalent in a related subject, together with specialist software skills relevant to the digital curriculum. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate experience or the potential to be highly effective in leading, managing and motivating others. You will also have significant experience of working in the digital industries and/or working collaboratively with industry to develop curriculum. Your industry knowledge, communication and networking skills should give you credibility within this area and allow you to engage with external stakeholders to ensure the quality of the provision.
Your skills will also enable you to build highly effective relationships with academic staff, colleagues in professional services and other stakeholders across the College.
