No formal entry requirements other than an interest in the subject and commitment to complete the course.Over 8 weeks, you will be introduced to the essential principles of interior design. Topics include:
Understanding space, colour, and layout
The use of light, texture, and materials
Creating mood boards and concept presentations
Basic floor planning and furniture arrangement
Design styles and trends
Practical tips for decorating and styling interiors
You will also gain an understanding of how to apply design principles to real-life projects, whether in your own home or for others.
The course will be delivered in a relaxed and supportive classroom environment with practical, hands-on sessions. You will take part in design exercises, group discussions, and small individual projects. Tutors will guide you through using simple tools and techniques to build your confidence and skills in interior design. There is no formal assessment—this is a non-accredited course designed for personal enrichment and enjoyment.
After completing this course, you may wish to progress to further short courses in interior design, creative arts, or other related fields.
