This course is designed for learners who are interested in a career in the aviation industry, particularly in ground operations. It is ideal for those looking to work in airside ramp services, support aircraft operations, or handle passengers at airports. Whether you're new to aviation or already working in the sector and seeking a formal qualification, this course provides a strong foundation.

This qualification provides a broad understanding of aviation ground operations and the skills needed to work effectively in this fast-paced, safety-critical environment. You will cover key topics such as:

• Aviation operations and terminology – Understand airport structures, airline functions, and key roles in the industry.
• Health, safety, and security – Learn how to operate safely in airside areas, focusing on risk prevention and aviation security procedures.
• Communication in aviation – Develop clear, accurate communication skills using sector-specific language and protocols.
• Passenger handling – Gain knowledge of processing passengers, checking documents, and handling baggage to industry standards.
• Aircraft handling – Explore aircraft boarding, loading/unloading procedures, and the role of ground support teams.
• Specialist functions – Be introduced to check-in procedures, aircraft marshalling, and the basics of supporting flight operations.
