The Isle of Wight College has standard entry requirements for full-time college courses, depending on the level of the course to be studied.

This course is aimed at learners who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of science, with proven application in a “real world” setting.
The T Level has an emphasis on real industry experience and is equivalent to three A Levels. This course will develop your skills and knowledge in a range of different scientific settings.
You’ll then specialise in Laboratory Science.
Prior to interview, you will be set a task where you will have the opportunity to describe to the interviewer why you feel a career in computing could be your first step to employment, and how this will fit with your chosen T Level.
You will learn a wide range of subject context and develop your knowledge and understanding in the following core areas across six terms (2 years):
You will be taught in a variety of ways to include workshops, lectures and seminars whilst also undertaking industry placement, to help support and underpin the theoretical knowledge gained in class. Digital methods of teaching and learning will be embedded to enable you to access materials at all times.
Your T Level will include an industry placement with an employer to develop the practical and technical skills required to work in your chosen occupation. The placement is for a minimum of 315 hours/45 days. The Isle of Wight College encourages all students to find their own appropriate industry placement as part of the course. The college will also support students to secure a relevant industry placement if needed. Your placement may be day release, a block placement, or a combination of both. Therefore, you will be required to be flexible.

You will achieve a T Level Technical Qualification in Science where you would have specialised in laboratory science

This is a full-time course which consists of up to 5 days study and placement a week. You will be required to work in your own time and complete tasks under your own initiative.
