WHAT WILL THE AUDITION INVOLVE?

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

The BTEC Diploma is for creative and energetic students who require a good qualification in dance and drama. Students will need to be passionate about the area and be willing to try new ideas, explore and experiment.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You will learn to work together. You will gain a greater understanding of the performing arts sector and the background to the performance work you see.  You will also increase your skills (dance, drama, acting and singing) and learn to make creative and innovate theatre.

DANCE STUDIO FACILITIES

Learn and rehearse in our purpose-built Dance Studio.

HOW WILL I LEARN?

Performing Arts teaching staff have extensive professional experience within the area. You will take dance classes in our dance studio. You will have drama workshops, see performances, and be encouraged to visit theatres. There may also be opportunities to meet practitioners (actors/ dancers/choreographers/ directors). Practical and theoretical work is integrated throughout the course, and the theoretical work will help challenge and expand your idea of what theatre can be. We assess you continuously throughout the course, giving you general feedback in class and more formal feedback when we mark your work. Both aim to help you achieve your full potential. Your job is to engage, enjoy and learn.
