Note: Students will benefit from current experience engineering working environment. It is therefore expected that students are working or have secured work experience in an engineering environment prior to starting the course.

The course is currently offered part-time and this day-release format is ideal for those working in engineering and related industries wishing to develop their knowledge and skills in Engineering.
The main aim of the course is to provide students with a good understanding of the fundamentals of Electronic Engineering Sciences and Management with knowledge of how these can be applied in a wide range of industries to enable professional progression.

Attendance at CECAMM will normally be 1 day a week with a requirement for reading and additional studies above the contact hours timetabled. Learning will be through lectures, group discussions and workshop activities in supportive small group environments with experienced teaching staff alongside self-study.
When in college you will attend a series of lectures and seminars which focus on the development of theoretical knowledge. It is expected that student will then apply their theoretical knowledge in an engineering workplace.
The course will employ a variety of assessment opportunities to include coursework, exams and involvement in both individual and group projects. This will give students the opportunity to enhance and practice their skills in informal settings while competencies gained are to be fully transferable to the workplace. Assessment will be throughout the course with exams as additional assessment on some modules.
The HNC course runs over two years with an option to ‘top-up’ the HNC to an HND on successful completion.
