You will attend college for one day per week, over two years, each day is usually from 9.00am until 6.00pm.
We think it is best to give you a range of teaching methods, you will do some work in classrooms; however this is to give you the supporting theory so that you can apply it when you move into our practical workshops. The workshop areas are designed to ensure you know how to work in real engineering environments. You will be using equipment that is specialized, something that other students will only dream of using!
All units are internally assessed and graded by your tutors, so no need to worry about pinning all of your study on one 3 hours exam. Instead you are assessed continually so that you can improve yourself and ensure you will be the best candidate for anything you wish to do after the course, whether it be getting a job or going to university.
This course is perfectly suited to someone who wishes to enter the field of engineering. We aim to prepare you to work in industry by utilising our tutors’ knowledge and working with leading manufacturers and engineering companies who are both local and global.
We feel the right balance of theory and practical work will provide great opportunities in terms of employability or progression onto university.
