The Isle of Wight College has standard entry requirements for full-time college courses, depending on the level of the course to be studied.
There may be additional entry requirements for a small number of specialist courses. If this course is one of these specialist courses, additional entry requirements will be stated below.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade 3/D or above including Maths and English language.
Progressing students may require a minimum of level 1 qualification in your chosen subject at Merit or above and English language and Maths at Level 1.
This course is for aspirational studemts who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of business and administration, with proven application in a ‘real world’ setting.
The interview will involve a 1:1 interview with the course co-ordinator and and aptitude activity relevant to business and administration. You will also have the chance to discuss your own personal goals and ambitions.
In the one year course you will develop your knowledge and understanding in the following core areas:

You will taught in a variety of ways, to include workshops, lectures and seminars, whilst also undertaking industry placement, to help support and under-pin the theoretical knowledge gained in class.
You will get a level 2 gateway certificate in business and administration skills.
On completion of the business and administration course, you can progress to a T Level, apprenticeship or the workplace.
This is a full-time course, which consists of up to 5 days study and placement a week. You will be required to work in your own time, and complete tasks under your own initiative.
