Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at those learners who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of Science, with proven application in a “real world” setting. The T Level has an emphasis on real industry experience and is equivalent to three A Levels.
What will the interview involve?
Prior to interview you will be set a task where you will have the opportunity to describe to the person carrying out the interview why you feel a career in science could be your first step to employment, and how this will fit with your chosen T Level.
What will I learn?
You will learn a wide range of subject context and develop your knowledge and understanding in the following core areas across six terms (2 years):
Embedded within this core knowledge, you will gain an understanding on the ways to support children’s learning and development.
How will I learn?
Your T Level will include an industry placement with an employer to develop the practical and technical skills required to work in your chosen occupation. The placement is for a minimum of 315 hours/45 days. The Isle of Wight College encourages all students to find their own appropriate industry placement as part of the course. The college will also support students to secure a relevant industry placement. Your placement may be day release or in a block placement or a combination of both, and you will be required to be flexible.
What qualifications will I get?
You will obtain a T Level Technical Qualification in Science, where you would have specialised in laboratory science.

This is a full-time course which consists of a mix of 5 days study and placement a week. You will be required to work in your own time and complete tasks under your own initiative.
