This is a unique opportunity for a Trainee Apprentice Commis Chef.
During peak times, this pub becomes very busy and has the ability to deal with large parties and functions as well as a lot of walk-in trade. Set menu’s, core dishes and specials boards are all available for their customers to enjoy.

The Fishbourne is located in a picturesque and wooded enclave between the main towns of Ryde and Newport on the Isle of Wight. Situated close to the Wightlink Fishbourne to Portsmouth ferry terminal this makes us the ideal entry point to the Island to experience our quality dining and five beautifully appointed en-suite rooms.
We pride ourselves on offering quality dining in a pub environment, matched with superb ales and an extensive wine selection.
Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
To assist the Front of House Manager in the delivery quality customer service to all customers. You will be working as part of a busy and dynamic team that work well under pressure; and within the demands of the business, especially in the height of summer.

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £4.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
