Our Foundation Learning Courses are specially designed to help young people aged 16-18 (19 in some cases) who lack formal qualifications and the confidence to get ahead.

They provide a more rewarding experience for young people at entry level and level 1. There are no specific entry requirements but a college interview and initial assessment will help determine if this is the right course for you. This is a one year programme (exceptional entries discussed).

What do you learn?

The courses include:

  • Vocational tasters
  • Work experience/placement
  • Work readiness
  • English
  • Maths
  • Enterprise & enrichment
  • Personal development

The courses are tailored to the needs of the individual, who will be required to set their own aims and objectives.

Main start dates take place in September, other start dates are available throughout the year.
