The T Level is a 2 year programme and will include a 9 week (minimum) industry placement and a Technical Qualification, where you will also choose your specialist occupation. Minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9-4, including: English Grade 9-4 Maths Grade 9-4
Who the course is for
This course is for aspirational students who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of Business and Administration, with proven application in a “real world” setting. This T Level has an emphasis on real industry experience and is equivalent to three A Levels. You will cover topics such as: Business Context, People, Quality Compliance, Project, and Change Management.
What you will learn
In the two-year course You will develop your knowledge and understanding in the following core areas: Core Components- Business context People Quality & compliance Finance Policies & procedures Project & change management Business behaviours Occupational Components- You will have the opportunity to specialise in the following areas Team Leadership/Management Business Improvement Business Support Information Management
How you will learn
You will be taught in a variety of ways to include workshops, lectures and seminars whilst also undertaking industry placement, to help support and underpin the theoretical knowledge gained in class. Digital methods of teaching and learning will be embedded to enable you to access materials at all times. Classroom lectures for your theory sessions Workshop delivery for development of practical skills Independent study Industry placement Guest Speakers from industry and university lecturers. Your core knowledge and skills will be assessed through exams and an employer-set project. You'll work with your tutor to decide when you're ready to be assessed on the core. Assessment of occupational specialist knowledge and skills will vary depending on the occupation. It may involve tests, practical assignments and projects. Your occupational specialist knowledge and skills will be assessed in the second year.
Progression
This T Level offers for progression within education system or into employment and it is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to study in detail or work in a particular area of work such as: Team Leader/Supervisor Middle Manager Project Manager Office Manager Administrative Assistant Payroll Operative Data Entry Clark Director Entrepreneur/Business Owner or progress to higher education.
